Author Guidelines
These guidelines are designed to help anyone who is interested in submitting an article to the Unconditional Love website. Before you submit an article to our site, we would appreciate if you would please read these guidelines first.
- Author Qualifications
- Content Qualifications
- In order to submit content to this site you have to be a registered member. We encourage any registered member to submit content within the following guidelines.
- Any article submitted must be original content that you wrote.
- The article should be informative and share your unique perspective. The article can contain humor, commentary, tips, how-to-information, techniques, etc.
- Quoted material should be kept to a minimum.
- We do not accept articles that are used as a press release, advertisement, or that are self-promotional in nature.
- The article should be written in English and have proper grammar, sentence structure, capitalization, punctuation, and spelling. While we may correct minor errors, if the errors are too numerous we will not publish it. We will of course notify you of our decision not to publish in this case.
- We do not accept articles that contain or are: profanity, pornography, insulting, hate, intolerance, a violence orientation, degrades another, overly negative, etc. We do accept articles that promote love, self-development, self-help, enlightenment, insightful, peace, health, loving communities, etc. Feel free to take a look at what is already on the site and you can get an idea of what we accept.
- We do not accept articles that promote illegal activity. Nor do should the article be in violation of any law, be considered defamatory, libelous, or infringes on the legal rights of others.
- We do not accept articles that are the same article previously submitted.
- Article Length: Articles should be between 500 and 1500 words in length.
- Article Title:
- Titles should be upper and lower case letters with the first letter of each major word capitalized. You can see this in the titles of these guidelines.
- Do not place quotes around your entire title.
- Do not end your title with a period.
- Do not use Microsoft Word smart quotes in your title.
- Do not place HTML tags in your title.
- Do not place your name or any website url in the title.
- The title should have at least two words.
- The title should reflect what is in the article body.
- Author Name:
- You may place your first and last name as the author of the article beneath the bottom of the article.
- Article Body:
- Again, the article length should be between 500 and 1500 words.
- Do not repeat the article title at the beginning of the article.
- Place any copyrights at underneath the end of the article along with your author name.
- You may place a reprint rights statement underneath the end of the article along with your author name and copyright statement.
- You may place a website url underneath the end of the article along with your author name, copyright statement, and reprint rights statement.
- The article must deliver on what is promised in the article title.
- The article must be single-spaced.
- We do not accept articles that contain javascript or any other code other than common HTML tags.
- HTML tags should not be necessary with our text editor, and if used should be used only to make the article look good. We know that what looks good to one person may not be to another. We will let you know if your article crosses the good threshold for this site.
- Website Links/URLs:
- We do not accept articles with links within them that do not support the content in an informational way. In other words, the link should be there for the reader to read more on the item being linked.
- We do not accept any self-serving links within the article. As stated above, you may place your website url underneath the end of the article.
- Category:
- Choose the best article category for your article. If an appropriate category has not yet been created, then suggest one to us. We will evaluate the request and act upon it one way or another.
